RFID, NFC and digital wallets

What Crewstack can do with NFC chips and digital wallets, so your crew's products are on a wristband or on their phone, with EventPos, Corego or your own provider.

For adminsAlso in Dansk and DeutschLast reviewed

With an integration to an RFID or cashless provider, your crew's products, such as meal vouchers and drinks, can be on an NFC chip in a wristband or as QR tickets in a wallet on their phone. Here you can see what it gives you, which providers Crewstack works with today, and how to get started.

What it gives your event

  • The products follow the person. You give products to your crew in Crewstack as usual, and Crewstack passes them on to the provider. See Create products and give them to your crew.
  • They are handed over at check-in. The chip is connected to the person, or the wallet is created, when the person is checked in.
  • They are kept up to date. If a person gets more or fewer products, or their shifts change, Crewstack updates the chip or the wallet by itself.
  • Products can follow the shifts. A product can be set to work only while the person is on shift, for example one meal voucher per shift.
  • You can see what has been used. On the person's profile, admins can see which products have been used. If you have the Crewstack app, your crew sees the same under Ticket > Food & drinks.

What you can use today

Crewstack is integrated with two providers:

EventPos (NFC chips). The products are on an NFC chip in a wristband or a card. The chip is scanned and connected to the person in the scanner at check-in. If the person loses the chip, it can be replaced with a new one. See NFC chips with EventPos.

Corego (QR tickets in a wallet). The products are QR tickets in a digital wallet on the phone, one QR ticket per product. The wallet is created at the first check-in, and the person gets a text message with a link to it. See Corego wallet with QR tickets.

An event uses one provider at a time.

Using another provider?

Crewstack isn't tied to EventPos and Corego. If you use another RFID or cashless provider, we can integrate with yours too. Write to support@crewstack.io and tell us which provider you use.

How to get started

Crewstack sets up the integration for you as part of an agreement with us. Write to support@crewstack.io. Once it's running, you choose in Crewstack which products go on the chip or into the wallet.
